The new FRITZ!Powerline 1260E combines the latest powerline technology with high-speed Wireless AC+N. It receives data from the FRITZ!Box over the electrical wiring at gigabit speeds of up to 1200 Mbit/s and passes them on to terminal devices in the home network – via either gigabit LAN or fast dual-band wireless LAN. By using 2x2 Wireless AC+N with MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) the FRITZ!Powerline 1260E transmits on the 5 GHz frequency band at up to 866 Mbit/s and on the 2.4 GHz frequency band at up to 400 Mbit/s. This makes the best possible wireless LAN available even in rooms that used to have bad or no WiFi reception. FRITZ!Powerline 1260E is prepared for Mesh WiFi and takes full advantage of the mesh networking convenience provided by the upcoming FRITZ!OS version. Ex works 128-bit AES encryption provides for secure connections over powerline and wireless LAN.

Launching operation of FRITZ!Powerline 1260E is simple and secure. As soon as the powerline product is inserted in an outlet and connected with a FRITZ!Box and devices like a PC, TV and game console, the network is secure and ready for operation. Integrated in a FRITZ! home network, the FRITZ!Powerline 1260E provides for full Mesh networking convenience with the next FRITZ!OS. The powerline product cooperates with other FRITZ! products to enable a consistent and powerful radio network that distributes data fast and efficiently. Plus, FRITZ!Powerline products can be combined with each other in any constellation. Because FRITZ!Powerline 1260E complies with all common powerline standards, it can create a powerline network with devices from any manufacturer.
More range and speed through new combination of gigabit powerline and Wireless AC+N
Gigabit powerline is based on the HomePlug AV2 specification and supports MIMO. This new powerline technology uses all three wires of the power lines concurrently (phase, neutral, protective). This increases the range over the power lines by up to 60 percent compared to other powerline classes, while increasing the robustness of transmission. Thanks to MIMO technology, data can be transmitted at rates of up to 1200 Mbit/s. Thus it enables double the data rates of powerline 500-Mbit/s and 600-Mbit/s devices, as well as stabler transmission. By using 2x2 Wireless AC+N, FRITZ!Powerline 1260E transmits data to terminal devices at top speeds.
Secure and always up to date
Thanks to 128-bit AES encryption, the FRITZ!Powerline 1260E WLAN is secure from the start. All FRITZ!Powerline products allow the user to monitor the home network and the powerline network on the FRITZ!Box user interface or a special software package (for Windows and macOS). The FRITZ!Powerline 1260E has its own interface for configuration, operation and maintenance, which can be protected with a password. Like all FRITZ! products, FRITZ!Powerline 1260E also includes an update function for adding new features.
